Fibromyalgia Performance Improvement Initiative

 
 
Program Description

This educational initiative is designed to help improve the clinical outcomes of your patients with fibromyalgia by providing education and training on assessment, diagnosis, and therapeutic options.

The Fibromyalgia - Performance Improvement Initiative (FM-PII) is a three step online process providing:

Assessment of current practice performance (Baseline)
   
Implementation of tools/resources (Implementation)
   
Reevaluation period to summarize outcome changes (Evaluation)


At the conclusion of this activity, the participant should be able to:

  • Explain the role of neurotransmitter dysregulation in fatigue, cognition, and mood in patients with fibromyalgia syndrome (FM)
  • Describe the impact of concomitant symptoms such as fatigue, cognition, and mood on patients with FM
  • Formulate an interdisciplinary treatment approach that looks beyond pain syndromes to ensure better care and optimal patient outcomes in patients with FM
